A year ago I would have been dreading doing a 3000m running test. In my mind I haven’t been a good runner since I was sixteen and still light and lanky. However, this spring my coach and I made the conscious decision to focus more on running and running technique in hopes that it will transfer to better striding in the winter. This week I took 20 seconds off my 3000m time from last month and ran a new PB. And I have to admit, I almost enjoyed myself in the process, something I never thought possible on the track! One of the things I love most about sport is that there’s always something to improve.
